Desktop Support Technician
Roles & Responsibilities
Removal and data deletion as per specification
Supporting standard technical queries related to a single product / small set of products
Perform regular system management routine tasks according to existing work instructions
Clients/peripherals and standard support for MS Office
Clients/peripherals expert using suitable tools
Basic knowledge of networks and operating systems (Microsoft, Linux)
Diagnose / troubleshoot desktop users’ software and network performance
Install software updates (Service Pack, Service Release, Hot-Fix) for desktop users
Perform email back-ups
Troubleshooting problems with client operating systems (MS Windows, MAC)
Perform software and system problem diagnosis and resolution for desktop users
Maintain and troubleshoot Wi-Fi problems for desktop users
Update of Anti-Virus software definition files for end-user PCs
Perform PC operating system checks, virus application software checks, backup software
Configuration and maintenance of end-user PC software system and application software
Provide recommendations for software improvements
Perform system evaluations, surveys at customer site
Manage and track outstanding issues with users and support team for prompt execution and closure
Support the implementation of IT-related projects
Escalation, tracking and resolution of all incident/service requests/ problems in a professional and timely Manner
Attend to any other reasonable duties as assigned by IT Manager
Basic English speaking, reading and able to create reports in English
BSc., MSc., in IT, Computer Engineering or similar field highly favorable
